2023 Geoff “Skeets” Harris Memorial Junior Open
On Sunday, October 29th, the Pinjarra Golf Club held its annual Geoff “Skeets” Harris Memorial Junior Open. With 42 kids under the age of 18 participating, the event was a great success.
The day began with a brief rain shower between 12:00 PM and 1:15 PM, but the weather quickly cleared up and the kids were able to enjoy a full round of golf. The first group hit off at 1:00 PM, and the tournament ran smoothly until the end.
The only delay occurred in the Stroke Section, where both the boys’ and girls’ divisions required a play-off to determine the winners. This added a bit of extra excitement to the day, but it also meant that the tournament ended a bit later than expected.
Despite the late finish, everyone had a great time. The kids played some excellent golf, and the parents and spectators enjoyed watching them compete. The Pinjarra Golf Club would like to thank everyone who came out to support the event, and we look forward to seeing you all again next year!
