GIRLS SCHOLARSHIP DAY AT PINJARRA
FRIDAY JULY 11TH, 2025
On Friday afternoon we held our first social meeting of Scholarship Girls from this area. We had girls visit us from Bunbury and Mandurah and I believe there were 18 players all up.
After a light lunch the girls went out to attempt 9 holes of golf, accompanied by parents and friends. Quite a few girls completed 9 Holes, after many encounters with our water hazards and the rest of the girls played 5 Holes.
A big thank you to all the parents and helpers who assisted the girls with learning to keep score and fill out score cards. It really helped. Many thanks to Karen Newman who gave up her afternoon to help me. I am sure she got well entertained.
The 9 Hole Winner was Addison Trainor, with Bailee Mulgrew coming second. Both are Pinjarra juniors and had a distinct advantage knowing where that water was. It was a new feature for a lot of the visitors. The 5 Hole Winner was Ruby Fraser from Bunbury with Rachel Pavic from Pinjarra in second spot. Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who did their best.
