Information & Conditions

Competition Conditions

The event shall be managed by the Match

Committee. PGC Captain Jim Jarvis is the

Tournament Director. Play shall be in accordance

with the Rules of Golf by the Royal & Ancient Golf

Club of St. Andrews (R&A), local rules and

competition conditions promulgated by the Match

Committee whose decision will be binding on all

players.

The distribution of golf prizes shall conform to the

Rules of Amateur Status approved by the R&A

(1992).

Entries must be received at the Pinjarra Golf Club by

5.00 pm Friday 24th September together with

remittance for entry fees.

Entry Conditions

Male amateur members of a W.A.G.A. affiliated golf

club with an AGU approved handicap are invited to

enter the Pinjarra Amateur.

This event is a 36 hole strokeplay tournament

played over 2 days.

Saturday 16th October 2010 - 1st Round of 18 holes.

Sunday 17th October 2010 - 2nd Round of 18 holes.

Field of a maximum of 240 players - entries

accepted in order of receipt. Club reserves the right

to Ballot.

Reporting to starter. A player may be disqualified

from a day’s play unless he reports to the Starter at

least 20 minutes prior to his designated hit-off time.

Tie: In the event of a tie for gross1st Place, a sudden

death play-off shall be held on the 10th and 18th

holes as directed by the club.

Dress Standards. Shirt with collar, shirts must be

tucked in at all times, slacks or belted shorts, if

shorts are worn predominately white socks must

be worn. Covered shoes should be such as not to

damage or leave indentations on the green.

Motorised carts shall not be used without a

current medical certificate and be approved by

the Match Committee.

Draw & Time Limit. Play will be in drawn groups

of 4. Each group should complete a round in

under 4 hours 20 minutes.

Penalties for slow play will be applied.

Morning hit-off: 6.45am through 8.30am daily.

Afternoon hit-off: 11.00am through 1.15pm.

Draw will be sent to clubs approximately 8th

October. No changes to the draw except in special

circumstances.

Players may win only one of these prizes.

Refunds

Cancellations prior to the draw will incur a $10

administration fee.

Entry fees are forfeited and non-transferable

once the draw has been finalised.
